Philadelphia Eagles star Saquon Barkley\u2019s<\/a> Pennsylvania home was burglarized early Saturday morning, police said.<\/p>\n

Tredyffrin Township officers responded to Barkley\u2019s home in the Malvern area at about 5:10 a.m. They received a report of a burglary<\/a> in progress.<\/p>\n

The suspects fled before officers arrived, per a release obtained by Fox News Digital.<\/p>\n

Barkley and his family were not hurt, according to police. Authorities did not say whether Barkley or his relatives were inside the home during the break-in.<\/p>\n

Police have not announced any arrests. They also have not said what the burglars took, how they entered the home or how many people were involved.<\/p>\n

Detectives are investigating a large white SUV that may have been connected to the burglary. Police released an image of the vehicle and asked the public for help identifying it.<\/p>\n

The Tredyffrin Township Police Department said it had not received reports of similar activity elsewhere in the area. The Chester County District Attorney\u2019s Office is assisting with the investigation.<\/p>\n

The burglary comes amid heightened concern about thieves targeting professional athletes.<\/p>\n

Federal prosecutors charged seven Chilean nationals in February 2025 with burglaries at the homes<\/a> of NFL and NBA players. Prosecutors alleged the group targeted athletes who were away or playing in games. The suspects allegedly stole more than $2 million in cash, jewelry, watches and other valuables.<\/p>\n

Barkley, 29, is preparing for his third season with Philadelphia<\/a>. Eagles training camp begins July 28.<\/p>\n

He rushed for 1,140 yards in 2025. That marked his second consecutive 1,000-yard season with the team.<\/p>\n

Barkley produced a historic season one year earlier. He won the 2024 NFL Offensive Player of the Year award and helped Philadelphia win Super Bowl LIX<\/a>. He finished with an NFL-record 2,504 rushing yards across the regular season and playoffs.<\/p>\n

The Eagles signed Barkley to a two-year extension in March 2025. He remains under contract through the 2028 season.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
