Jack Osbourne<\/a> is opening up about the realities of raising five children, revealing that he and his wife, Aree Osbourne, have chosen to parent without a nanny.<\/p>\n

“Yeah. So we don\u2019t do the nanny thing,” Osbourne told People magazine<\/a> during an Emmy nominees event in Los Angeles over the weekend. “I thought it was going to be way gnarlier than it is, but you find a rhythm.”<\/p>\n

Aree, who is a stay-at-home mom, and Jack share daughters Maple, 4, and Ozzy Matilda, 6 months. Jack is also the father of Pearl, 14, Andy, 11, and Minnie, 8, whom he shares with his ex-wife, Lisa Stelly.<\/p>\n

The couple recently marked Maple\u2019s first day of preschool. Jack shared a photo of Maple posing alongside her baby sister and jokingly referred to Ozzy Matilda as her “emotional support squad.”<\/p>\n

Despite growing up in one of rock music\u2019s most famous families, Jack said his parenting style is more structured than the approach taken by his parents, the late Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon Osbourne.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m a little more structured with my kids than my parents were with me,” Jack previously told People magazine. “I won\u2019t take them out of school just to go travel. We do a little bit, but I think structure is healthy.”<\/p>\n

Jack and Aree welcomed their youngest daughter in March. The couple named her Ozzy Matilda in honor of Jack\u2019s late father, who died in July.<\/p>\n

Jack was able to tell Ozzy about Aree\u2019s pregnancy before the rock legend\u2019s death. In a December interview with The Sun<\/a>, Jack described the pregnancy as a source of hope while his family was grieving.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s awesome,” he said. “I think it\u2019s been partly a healthy distraction, partly healing \u2014 probably in that kind of \u2018full cycle\u2019 category, in a weird way. It\u2019s very much taken energy out of the grieving side of things and parked in a bit more hopefulness.”<\/p>\n

Jack\u2019s sister, Kelly Osbourne<\/a>, has also spoken publicly about the family\u2019s grief following their father\u2019s death.<\/p>\n

In a recent interview with Hello!<\/a>, Kelly, 41, addressed the cruel comments she faced about her appearance while mourning Ozzy.<\/p>\n

“I didn\u2019t navigate it \u2014 I wasn\u2019t well,” Kelly said when asked how she handled the public scrutiny.<\/p>\n

“How can you navigate something so cruel when you\u2019re so sick?” she added.<\/p>\n

Kelly, who is mom to 3-year-old son Sidney, said she is focused on healing both mentally and physically<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s going to take me a minute. I\u2019m not going to be fixed in a day. I\u2019m not going to be fixed on one therapy session. This is a lifetime of work I\u2019ve got to do and continue to do for the rest of my life.”<\/p>\n

Jack has also faced public commentary about his appearance.<\/p>\n

The 40-year-old media personality took to Instagram<\/a> to respond to articles body-shaming him for being “grossly underweight” and calling him “sick,” saying “I cannot believe I\u2019m having to actually make this f—ing video.”<\/p>\n

“I have lost no weight since I got out of the jungle doing ‘I\u2019m a Celebrity\u2026 Get Me Out of Here!’ six months ago,” he explained. “I\u2019ve been the same f—ng weight. The only difference is I shaved my beard and opted for a creepy mustache. That\u2019s the only f—ing difference.”<\/p>\n

He later added that he has been “brutalized by the press about<\/a>\u00a0being overweight” his entire life and cannot believe that even though he got “down to a healthy weight,” he has been “criticized even more,” telling the journalists and other body shamers that they can “get f–ked.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
