“Reacher” star Alan Ritchson<\/a> claimed that studios have discouraged him from discussing politics publicly after the actor drew attention for his political rants.\u00a0<\/p>\n

As reported by The Christian Post<\/a>, Ritchson jokingly remarked about the warnings he’d received from production studios during a Fan Expo Canada panel earlier this month.<\/p>\n

“You know how many phone calls I get from studios like, \u2018Would you shut the f— up, please? Stop talking in public,\u2019” Ritchson said<\/a>. “I mean, but it\u2019s not chaos I\u2019m after. It\u2019s actually the opposite of chaos. I\u2019d like a little \u2014 I\u2019m not going to get into it. You don\u2019t want to see my rants starring these g—— f—— politicians everywhere.”<\/p>\n

He added, “I\u2019m not going to do it. Sony told me not to. And I\u2019m not going to say anything. Not today. Not today, [Jeffrey] Epstein.”<\/p>\n

After the audience cheered at his comments, he gave a fist bump to the moderators and declared, “Pedos win.”<\/p>\n

Ritchson also claimed Amazon Prime Video killed a “Reacher” storyline involving White supremacists and suggested the move was political.<\/p>\n

In a comment on Threads<\/a> last week, he replied to a fan who said they were disappointed that the Amazon Prime Video series would not adapt a book in the series where Jack Reacher “kills his way through a White supremacist militia camp.”<\/p>\n

Ritchson replied that he was also pushing for the book to be adapted but was turned down, suggesting it was due to President Donald Trump’s return to office.<\/p>\n

“My favourite book. Fun fact: I had it approved until someone got re-elected,” Ritchson wrote.<\/p>\n

Fox News Digital<\/a> reached out to Sony and Amazon Prime Video for comment.<\/p>\n

A professed Christian, Ritchson has attacked conservative Christians based on their support for Republicans. In a Hollywood Reporter interview from April 2024, Ritchson criticized Christian supporters<\/a> of Trump.<\/p>\n

“Trump is a rapist and a con man, and yet the entire Christian church seems to treat him like he\u2019s their poster child and it\u2019s unreal. I don\u2019t understand it,” Ritchson said.<\/p>\n

One month later, he claimed he was “met with violence<\/a>” for sharing these and other views.<\/p>\n

“If you want to see violence flee the world, be more generous to everybody! That is the Christian ethic! That is what I don\u2019t see happening. And when I speak up about it in my own ways, I\u2019m met with violence,” Ritchson said.<\/p>\n

In a comment to Fox News Digital, Christian Toto, of Hollywood in Toto, remarked that Ritchson is “doing all he can to personally sabotage” his own projects.<\/p>\n

“The actor’s political rants are even worse than what Robert De Niro says on a given day. It’s hysterical blather, and his \u2018Reacher\u2019 fans are noticing,” Toto said.<\/p>\n

He added, “That brings to mind two questions. If his film studios are begging him to stay apolitical, why doesn’t he listen to them? Did that actually happen? Do other film studios ask their stars to avoid political screeds in interviews? Doesn’t he realize the precious gift he’s been given, to be able to headline major motion pictures? Doesn’t he understand how fleeting that kind of fame can be and how audiences might be turned off by his unhinged rhetoric?”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
