Sean Ryan.<\/p>\n<p>Scanlon conceded the primary to Ryan, thanking his supporters and apologizing for &#8220;not getting it done for you tonight.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It was a lot of work and the most humbling experience of my life to have the type of support that the campaign has had to this point,&#8221; Scanlon said.<\/p>\n<p>Ryan, who has the endorsement of the county <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/us\/democratic-party\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Democratic Party<\/a>, declared victory and pledged to unite the city.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/alvin-bragg-blows-out-democratic-challenger-manhattan-da-primary\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>CUOMO CONCEDES IN NYC DEMOCRATIC PRIMARY FOR MAYOR, CONGRATULATES AOC-ENDORSED MAMDANI<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I know we need to unite Buffalo, not just as Democrats, but as Buffalonians,&#8221; Ryan said.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/alvin-bragg-blows-out-democratic-challenger-manhattan-da-primary\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>ALVIN BRAGG BLOWS OUT DEMOCRATIC CHALLENGER IN MANHATTAN DA PRIMARY<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Ryan told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.btpm.org\/local\/2025-06-24\/ryan-leads-scanlon-buffalo-mayor-primary-race\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Buffalo Toronto Public Media<\/a> that he was &#8220;so pleasantly surprised with the margin&#8221; of victory in the multi-candidate field.<\/p>\n<p>The Associated Press called the victory for Ryan, who had 46.5% of the vote.
